At Court Reporters Clearinghouse, we’re celebrating 28 years of empowering independent court reporters. Our founder, Paula Babin, started CRC in 1997 with a servant’s heart—looking to help court reporters find a positive work-life balance. Today, her legacy lives on as we continue to honor God by serving others.
We work hard to earn the trust of our reporters who count on us to manage their schedules and back-end workload. Each day, we are mindful that how we conduct ourselves, interact with others and the quality of work we produce must be done in accordance with the core values we were founded on: Integrity, Excellence, Commitment, and Respect.
To reinforce our dedication to the key principles that guide us, we embarked on a year-long journey with our team aptly named “The Pursuit of Excellence.” This challenge invites every team member to grow in three vital areas:
- As team members
- As family members
- As members of their community
Each month, our staff engages in personal, professional and spiritual challenges designed to build character, strengthen collaboration, and support lasting impact.
Recently, our Calendar Department (aka Schedulers) took their pursuit of excellence to the next level through a mix of training and hands-on team building. Their experience included:
- A valuable training workshop to sharpen their communication and service skills
- An exciting escape room adventure—where they escaped with just seven seconds to spare! Talk about thriving under pressure!
- A compassionate outing to a Houston-area animal rescue shelter, where they gave their time and hearts to serve animals in need.
Their dedication, teamwork, and willingness to grow inspire us all. This is what the Pursuit of Excellence looks like in action—and we couldn’t be more proud!
As we continue to honor our 28-year legacy of faith, integrity, and service, we know that the strength of CRC lies in the people behind the scenes.
We look forward to sharing more of our checkpoints along the way.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. – Colossians 3:23-24
